Product code
OZO-51201ARI
The Ozobot family has grown with a new member! Welcome Ari - the latest generation interactive programmable robot. It builds on the popular features of the well-known Evo and Bit+ bots but adds new enhancements and options for comprehensive learning with dozens of apps and activities.

Unlike traditional coding bots, Ari is powered by the Android operating system. This enables engaging content available through an expandable ecosystem of apps for learning. The app platform offers ready-to-use, standards-aligned lessons and activities in computer science, robotics, and core subjects for all skill levels. Ari also newly utilizes a high-resolution interactive touchscreen to support hands-on learning. It displays live text, images, and fun animations, allowing students to interact naturally with the robot and receive immediate feedback. The robot is Wi-Fi enabled and connects only to Ozobot servers.

What has remained unchanged are the features we love so much about Ozobots – the pocket-sized design and the possibility to program it using color codes, the Ozobot Blockly editor, and the Python programming language, with more languages to be added soon. This kit is designed to work in a larger team. In addition to 12 Ozobots Ari, it includes a charging cradle, 12 sets of washable markers and a set of activities to get you started.

Ozobot Ari

Meet Ozobot's smartest robot

Ari introduces the latest generation of Ozobot teaching robots. It may resemble a toy for its cute look, but make no mistake. It is an advanced learning tool suitable for leisure and school education across subjects and grades! It combines the most popular features of its predecessors, Evo and Bit+, with powerful teaching tools and advanced interactive technology never before seen in the classroom. While its features are revolutionary for teaching STEAM, computer science, and core subjects, it keeps the much-needed ease of use. That's why even preschoolers can take on the easiest tasks and challenges! Ari is also characterized by its pocket size – even though it is almost twice the size of the well-known robot Evo!

Ozobot Ari

New features that will blow your mind

A new feature that catches the eye is the interactive high-resolution LCD touchscreen. The programmable screen allows Ari to display live text, images, and animations. These are incredibly playful and varied! They accompany each robot's action and lesson content, making it even more engaging for students. The visual communication of the bot immediately immerses students in the lesson, allowing them to interact naturally with the bot and receive immediate feedback. The integrated Time-of-Flight sensor measures the distance between the robot and objects in its environment is also a significant improvement. This allows educators to teach practical technology fundamentals, as Ari can detect and avoid obstacles, accurately measure distances, and navigate in various environments. The built-in accelerometer and gyroscope offer further opportunities to enhance learning. These allow students to study movement and get real-time data on changes in motion. This facilitates hands-on learning of complex abstract physics concepts such as velocity, acceleration, and their relationship.

Ozobot Ari

A customizable application platform for richer education

Ari features improved software – using the power, infrastructure, and extensibility of the Android operating system. This revolutionary change brings access to an ecosystem of diverse apps for all subjects. The app platform offers ready-to-use lessons and activities in computer science, robotics, and core subjects for all skill levels. Information is categorized for students from kindergarten to high school. Students can engage with the interactive lesson content while learning at their own pace. Ari has Wi-Fi to connect to Ozobot servers. It also allows students and educators to use artificial intelligence to enhance and personalize their lessons.

Ozobot Ari

Coding methods and programming language extensions

Like the popular Ozobots Evo and Bit, Ari can be programmed using color codes or blocks. The first method is ideal for beginner programmers and only requires markers and paper. Your task will be to draw guiding black lines for the robot to follow. On these, you will place color codes – a sequence of red, green, and blue squares. The color codes give the robot a direction and speed, start a counter or timer, or allow it to perform cool moves. Lots of different codes exist to spice up the track! More advanced students can use visual programming in the app or online block editor Ozobot Blockly. In this intuitive editor, they will line up individual blocks with movements, sounds, lighting effects, loops, and timers to create unique combinations. The complexity of each task is divided into 5 levels so everyone can choose their own. You then load your original programs directly into the bot and let it show them in action. Are you ready for the challenge? Take the opportunity to program Ari using Python! Moreover, Ozobot is planning to expand programming language support soon. This is a great opportunity to equip kids with practical and much-valued skills for the future, don't you think?

Ozobot Ari

Everything you need to start programming in a big team

In addition to 12 Ari robots and a charging cradle, the classroom kit includes activities to help you take your first steps. There are also 12 sets of washable dual-tip markers for drawing color codes and paths. The width of the marker track is designed to fit perfectly to the sensors of a small bot. This makes it easier for Ari to navigate your routes and turns and doesn't require frequent calibration. This necessary equipment comes nicely together in a spacious storage box.

Ari app and lesson library

Not sure if you can come up with enough interesting tasks for kids to do with Ari after finishing the included activities? Don't worry! There's a wealth of content available for you to use in your lessons. Firstly, the already mentioned apps. These include an interactive clock for telling the time, an interactive calculator for learning math functions, and a letter lab that's great for learning about and practicing letter formation. There's also a fun app for building a rocket and getting it ready to launch! You'll also have Ozobot Classroom by your side – an online library of lessons free of any charge. Lessons are tagged and can be filtered by your students' year, focus, or preferred coding method. There are mazes, racetracks, and numerous challenges waiting for you. Another source of inspiration is the fantastic community of educators who teach various subjects and share their ideas and plans. The Ozobot community is very active and constantly evolving. That's why we can only recommend watching the teachers‘ webinars as well.

STEAM teaching tool for modern schools

Ari gives educators the tools to introduce students to the world of robotics, computer science, and programming in an even more creative way. Ozobot robots are already a well-known and popular STEAM tool for modern polytechnic education. STEAM is a concept focused on five disciplines – Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Art in the broadest sense. STEAM education works with real-world challenges and emphasizes critical and creative thinking. The ability to master language, formulate ideas, and present them convincingly is not left aside. Lessons with Ozobot can include a discussion during which students explain their actions and describe the problems they had to solve and the methods that led to the completion of the task. Even the latest Ozobot robot, Ari, is ideal for this type of education. The amount of topics you can cover from each subject area with the robot is extremely broad. And it's well noticed by the professional community, who have honored Ozobot with several prestigious education and technology awards.

In 2012, Ozobot comes up with a new small robot prototype, and after 2 years of development, the robot is presented at the largest consumer electronics fair in Las Vegas. In the next years children and students all over the world quickly took a liking to. Since then, the Ozobot company has been making fun programmable robots for the next generation. The mission of Ozobots is to inspire young people to develop new technologies, instead of passively using them. Currently, the entire Ozobot concept perfectly fulfills the principles of STEAM education – linking polytechnic fields and a creative approach to develop a sustainable future.
